I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, but I started taking it more seriously over the past several years. What began as a creative outlet grew into a true passion, eventually leading me to turn my work into my small business, Peeshi.
I’m deeply inspired by nature and wildlife. I love capturing the personality, emotion, and beauty of animals, as well as the vibrant colors and energy found in the natural world. A lot of my inspiration comes from simply observing life around me.
I’m inspired by artists who use bold color and expressive techniques to bring their subjects to life (Van Goah). While I don’t pull from just one specific artist, I admire creators who aren’t afraid to experiment and create work that feels joyful, emotional, and full of movement.
My style is vibrant, expressive, and full of life. I focus heavily on color and layering to create depth and energy, often blending realism with a more playful, bold approach.
I primarily work with acrylic paints, paint markers, and mixed media on surfaces like canvas and bristol paper. I love these materials because they allow me to build layers, create bold color contrasts, and add fine details that make each piece unique.
My process usually starts with an idea or reference that sparks something emotionally. From there, I sketch out the composition and begin building layers of color, gradually adding depth, detail, and highlights until the piece feels complete. Sometimes, this means leaving it for awhile and coming back to it later on with fresh eyes.
I hope my work brings a sense of joy, connection, and appreciation for the beauty of animals and nature. I want each piece to feel alive and to spark a positive emotional response in whoever experiences it.
Over time, my work has become more confident, colorful, and detailed. I’ve grown more comfortable experimenting with techniques and trusting my creative instincts, which has allowed my style to become more refined and uniquely my own.
