White tigers are not a separate species, but rather Bengal tigers with a rare recessive genetic trait that changes their coloring from vibrant orange to a striking white. While they are sometimes mistaken for albino tigers, the presence of black stripes and dark eye pigment distinguishes them from true albinos. Instead, white Bengal tigers are considered leucistic—meaning they experience a partial loss of pigmentation in their skin and fur. This unique trait occurs in only about 1 in every 10,000 tigers, making these animals exceptionally rare and fascinating.
This one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn piece celebrates the beauty of the tree frog and is available as a magnet in two sizes. Originally created using Posca paint pens and gel pens, each design is printed on museum-quality matte paper using a multicolor, water-based inkjet technique, then carefully mounted onto a DIYMAG magnet sheet.
